My experience learning English at University

Hello everyone! Today I tell you about my experience learning English. When I started my first year of university I had a English test! I don’t well for English and in my first test I had a bad qualification. When I started English two, I remember that I had forgotten the contents of my secondary. Then I learned English. Always dislike speaking in the classroom, but I think that it is in this moment when the people learn about pronunciation and other think. Well, speak in English is difficult for me because I am nervous and when I look the other persons in the classroom I really can’t speak. The blog has been a good tool to learn about the writing, because I think that I learned to use the words, the verbs and express ideas, but today is difficult for me. I thing that learn English in the university is very important, but I like that teach other language by for example French, Italian and language of my traditional country like Mapudungún. It is very different language, because the English is important for the career, and for the study in the area I think that in the school, in the university must teach about this language. 

2014: Good and bad point

Hello everyone! Today is other Wednesday and I talk you about the good and bad things of 2014. I think that this year it was a good year because in all aspects I learned thinks.  Different thinks that in every moment help me in my like. When the year began, it wasn’t good because my grandmother was sick, and we didn’t know what happened. Then my grandma was a little better and today she feels so good. After that, I started my fourth year in University. My first courses were funny and I learned many contents in different areas of psychology. In these activities I had my first patient in the Hospital San BorjaArriarán. I have said in other moment that this experience was so great and important for me, because I could work with the child and his mother and I learned about this relationship and to work with children in this context. Then in my winter vacation, I traveled with my friends! I have only precious memories. Then I started my second semester and still have to finish. In this semester I learn about the areas that like, by for example clinical psychology, judicial psychology. In the academic, I can say that it was a great year. In the labor I must say that also it was a great year, because I could work in different thinks.  The only bad think it was that I didn’t have a time for my hobbies and favorites activities like yoga and circus. Finally I think that this year began more or less, but then all it was good!

Have you had a good year?

If you ask me this question, I think that I have had a good year!  In the university I think that this year I enjoyed more than other years because I could work with the people, especially with a patient in the Hospital San Borja Ariarán. This experience was great because I could work with the child and his mother and I learned to relation and to work with children in this context. I felt so happy because all this process ending very fine and I felt very happy and satisfied with my performance. It was one of the most motivating academic things that happened this semester because when the people work in the public system, in some situations the experience is not good, but in my situation it was amazing! Another good thing in this year it was the labor, I had so many jobs. The not so good thing was that I did not have much free time to do various things that I wanted and I had proposed earlier this semester, because I had several jobs for my courses in university and labor. For example, I love circus, yoga, swimming and I didn’t have time. I thought that this situation to chanced, but my study in the university, the end of semester it was difficult for me. Well to the rest of year in the academic I hope to end the semester the best way, because this year I will leave the undergraduate. In my life I hope to travel to places nearby with my family and friends for relaxing! I really need to travel! Well, I hope to will see the next week! Cheers!

My favourite film

Hello everyone! Today I will tell you about my favourite film. I think that I don’t have a favourite film, but I think that there are great movies. One of the best movies I've seen has been the pianist. It is a historical drama film premiered in 2002. In this film acted Adrien Brody like principal actor.  While it is an old movie, I like it for its content and how the story portrays what happens to the character. In this film the principal actor lived all the horror of the violence, repression of regimen.

Overall, I like movies that have some historical content. It is in the case of this film, which takes place in World War II, showing the violent episodes, the concentration camps, among other things. This movie leaves you wondering how things were at the time, hard times.

Another film that I like it is Pearl Harbor. This film premiered in 2001, and it is an epic war film. The story tells about the conflict between EE.UU with Japanese. This film has a story about war and love. It is a precious story, but terrible because the war always leaved millions of dead, disaster, peoples without families and families without their loved ones.

I like to see movies with some historical content, I think that I enjoy more this films, because with others films I can to avoid to sleep. Well I hope to see you the next week! Bye Bye! 

My favourite free time activity

My favourite free time activity

Hello everyone! If I think of my favourite free time activity, I think of many things, but I believe that I have two things that I enjoy. The first, I enjoy to go out to eat with some friends or my boyfriend. I love to go to Colombian restaurants with my boyfriend. In the restaurant we always ate “Arepas” and juice of “lulo”. This restaurant opened his door one month ago, and we discovery few time ago. We are addicted to eat in this place. Last time, we always eat Mexican food.  We went to many places to eat “tacos”, “pambazos”, “horchata water”.  Two weeks ago we changed to Colombian food. We love to go out to many places. I enjoy every activity with him. Also I enjoy in my free time to do sports, by for example to go to gym, swimming pool and other activities like yoga. I like to do yoga but for a long time I didn’t practice yoga because I didn’t have time. I think that I love spend my free time in activities with others persons, with my boyfriend, with my family, with my best friends and friends, with my animals, especially with my pretty and little cats.  Well, this is my favourite activities in my free time! My future job

Hello! Today I will talk about my future job. In this time of my life it’s difficult to establish How I like my job because I am confused.  I remember when I stared to study Psychology I wanted work with adult people but when I had other courses I think that I love work with children and adolescents. I remember my first experience with children. I was in Hospital San Borja. I was nervous because I never had worked with a child, but It was a great moment when I worked with a child and his mother. This process it was significant to me and in this moment I decided to work in this area. So, I image my job similar at this experience. I hope to help families, because when the child is bad all his family feel bad. The only thing I dislike it’s the job in the office and this job it’s in the office. So, I would like to work outdoor in other institution, for example I would like to visit the jailhouse and work with the prisoners. I think that this people need to help, because the rest of people don´t understand why they do what they do.  I think that the first years I would like to work in Santiago, but the rest of years I hope to travel to others city and I would like to work like psychology but in others areas. Finally, I only hope to continue to love this career and this job. 

My best holiday

Hello! Today i will talk about my best holiday. I remember It was eleven years ago. At this moment I was ten years old.  Yes, It was many years ago, but I will tell you that it was my best holiday. I remember that at this time my mother and I decided to travel to the south of Chile. At this moment I was the only daughter and I enjoyed to traveling with my mother. I know that it was selfish but I loved it. We visited our family in the south and we traveled for places in Villarrica. I remember that it was summer, but in the south every day was raining. We stayed for two weeks and we visited very beautiful places like forest parks, lake Villarrica and other places and we enjoyed this holiday together. Now, I’m not the only daughter, I have two more beautiful sisters and unfortunately we can´t travel because my mother works and she doesn’t have time. We travel but to nearby places like Pichilemu’s beach and my little sister and I practice surf in the sea.

My favorite animal

Hello! In this day I would tell you about my favorite animal. Guess which it is! It is very hairy and it purrs. Well, it is the cat. I really love the cats, first because I like the animals that have hair and so much hair, the second it´s because the cats are very tender and playful. In my country house I have seven cats, and each is beautiful and different. I have cats of different colors: black, white, brown and grey.  Present day I have three little cats, the others are of my Grandmother. The first call “pinti”, the second’s names is “milo” and the third is “Panchito”. The last it’s very tender and in every place the little cat is sleeping. Sometimes the cat is lost and I search in every place and I remember that the little cat loves to sleep in the dirty clothes. It´s so beautiful and I love to stay with them. In other moments the little cat loves to play with the mother´s flowers, and again sleeps in my bed.  Every weekend I travel to my house to visit them.  I would love to have a cat in Santiago, because I miss my little cat.

A country I would like to visit

Hello! Today i will tell you about the country I would like to visit. This country is located In the Americas, and is Mexico. I would like to go to this country because my boyfriend visited this place and he told me all about Mexico and really I was fascinated. The first place that i would like to go will be Toluca to eat “tacos” with so much chilli. Then I would love to go to Riviera Maya, He told me that this place is so wonderful for all architecture and culture. The Mayan legacy is important to history for Mexico and the history for the rest of country. This place was located in the Caribbean and the beaches are so great. 

Finally I would like visit Cancun, it´s a wonderful place for relaxing, enjoying and staying there all the life. I hope that I can travel to this country the next year when my boyfriend travels to study in Mexico.

First Semester 2014

First Semester 2014

Overall this semester was good. Among the good things is patient care at the Hospital San Borja, which ended very well and I felt very happy and satisfied with my performance. It was one of the most motivating academic things that happened this semester. In relation to labor, I was fine, since many jobs were submitted. The not so good thing was that I did not have much free time to do various things that I wanted and I had proposed earlier this semester, because I had several jobs for my courses in university. Also I worked far away from my house in Santiago and I traveled so much to my house in Curicó. I could not practice circus and yoga very often, and I could not spend much time with my friends as I would have liked. So my expectations for this new semester are able to practice often yoga, I can practices circus, and I hope to spend my time with my family, boyfriend and friends. I also hope to finish all my course in the best way because I only have this semester and I will be a licensed psychologist. Finally I hope that my plans can realized and I hope that the holidays arrive and then to rest a bit and go somewhere on holiday with my friends.

How green are you?

How green are you?

The friendly practices environment, I think they are not driven in this country, that I speak personally to answer the question where these practices are learned, the answer that comes to my mind can be at home or in schools, however I don’t have seen specific plans of teaching or maintained over time and really they can teach the educational community and the community at practices that help the environment.

I quite left on the subject, I am concerned, I don’t have specific plans yet certain recycling. A clear example is that many buy mineral water in bottles and the bottles go bouncing. I could buy a bottle and putting on water every day. I'm trying to do, but I forget.

In my case I don’t have bicycle in Santiago, but I quite like walking and visiting the places on foot, I can appreciate of the way places. I love taking walks in parks, or when I do I take to walk paperwork to distract myself.

I never joined an eco- organization. I never do mainly because I don’t know any eco- organization. Since I don’t have much awareness on the issue, I would like to start recycling and sorting trash. It would also be a good option to do some crafts workshop using only recyclable materials. This would be a good idea since I like working with crafts.

The text discusses the problems that have arisen many years in the Chilean State, which is related to the privatization of water. This is a problem for many years in our country, so many people have said in order to claim a right which belongs to the nation and should not be in private hands. For this, a march was held in Santiago de Chile against the privatization of water and the protection of glaciers.

From my perspective, water and glaciers are natural resources to be protected by the people, for this is necessary to stay in Chilean hands and not in private hands that make use indiscriminately of these resources and do not consider that they are exhaustible resources. Water should be protected, is this who keeps us alive, it is not fair that private parties take ownership of a resource that is so characteristic of the Chilean population.

The perfect song for me this day is “bohemian rhapsody” by Queen.  This song was composed by the late pianist and vocalist Freddie Mercury. It is one of the most emblematic themes of this rock band, considered by many one of the best rock songs of the band. It was about nine weeks at number one successes of United Kingdom, and returned to become popular after the death of vocalist and after the inclusion in the movie Wayne's World. The song can be divided into three parts, the first a ballad, the second operatic section and the last hard rock.

It's a great song to enjoy with all the hits of Queen. I haven´t a particular story with this song, however enjoy listening, I enjoy listening to a great song of Mercury.

I enjoy the original song and parody of the song. This is found with a friend, caused us very much, is very funny, I laugh a lot with this version of the song and also reminds me that I saw the cartoon on television as a child. It´s a funny parody.

One of the best movies I've seen has been the pianist. While it is an old movie, I like it for its content and how the story portrays what happens to the character. It is one of the best movies that I love, the book "Man in search of meaning" is also related to this theme and I love it. This book and movie gives much to ponder.

There are several movies that I like, but this is one that I can watch many times and not get bored.

The image I chose this day is these heels. I'm going to tell her story. Everything happened when my best friend invited me to “taconera fair”. It was the last weekend. When she told me that she already had tickets, I felt very happy because it would be a new scenario would enjoy together. Unfortunately when we arrived there was a very small space, the shoes were the same that we saw everywhere, had a lot of people and the heat was unbearable! So, we decided to leave immediately. We compensate with a hike through a park and then went out to eat. Undoubtedly I enjoy more of these simple situations with her, that we see shoes everywhere.It was a great invitation, but would not go back! Xd It´s better to enjoy small things!

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology

It is musical keyboard. This is a keyboard instrument that replaces sounds of similar instruments, such as pianos and trumpets. I really like it because you can play various songs without need for all instruments. Mainly I love the interpretations made with the sounds of classical piano music because it reminds me of my childhood when my mother listened to Richard Clayderman. Now, when I listen to this music, reminds me a great moments and I relax so much. I enjoy when friends play this instrument.

But what I don´t like so much about this instrument is not the same sound of piano, it´s a bit different. I don´t know to play this instrument, but I just love it and enjoy it its sound and music!

Expectative for a new semestre

My expectation for a new semester is very hard. In the university, I hope to make my first internship in the hospital San Borja and I hope to work with children and their parents.  That experience would be my first encounter with children and adolescent clinical. Also, I hope I can learn about forensic examination. This is my favorite area to work in the future. It´s very difficult but I enjoy learning it. Finally, I hope to finish my course the best way.

In my free time, I would like to go to a circus workshop with my friends.  This is a little difficult because I travel so much and my times in Santiago are very short.  My plans are continue to do yoga with my friend, and continue working once a time in the week, especially on weekend. 

Auto- biography 

I am María Constanza López, I am 21 years old and I am studying psychology. I was born in Curicó, Séptima Región del Maule. All my life I had lived there, but I had to come to Santiago. In the week I live on Santiago, and the weekend I go to Curicó. Currently I live in a flat with my best friend and her family in Ñuñoa.

I study psychology. My favorite area is judicial psychology.  When I started study this career I knew that to be my favorite area because I like so much the laws and work with persons.  

I practice some sports. I thing in the life is very important. These sports are my  hobbies and I practice when I have free time. I practice yoga, swimming, circus and surf. I like it! It´s so funny and in every sport I feel different and good. I enjoy listening to music and I enjoy spending my time with my friends, family and pets in the country. Also I like so much travel.
